The time has come to move on to other things in life. Yes, Fake Chuck is retiring. You can read all about it by clicking here, where you’ll also find out who Fake Chuck really was all this time.

Thanks to everyone who supported the FCW blog in the past years. We went through a lot together; frustration, anger, we laughed, we cried, we pissed off Canon fanboys as well as Nikon fanboys. All those moments will forever live on in our memories.

Fake Chuck’s work here is done. It’s up to you now to remain critical of Canon so that things don’t go downhill again. Nikon is currently seriously fucked, and we have to make sure this doesn’t happen to Canon again, or else we’ll all suffer the consequences like we did 6 years ago.

I’ll end my last post on this blog with the following poem that summarizes all my true feelings for Canon Inc.:

  7. If you think cAN -NOT is any better today than yesterday your MISTAKEN ! Yes can-NOT may have an improved focus ,, But lets hope so because there older cAn-Nots DID NOT FOCUS AT ALL !!!!! !!!!! !!!!! !!!!! cAN-NOT service is horrible just like nI-KANT !!!!!! With BOTH companies , it takes a class action law suit just to get to be looked at ,, and returned after months of wait with the comment ,, (UP-TO-SPEC-,,, but still broken ) . The reason you started your blog is so needed still today because BOTH COMPANIES JUST DO NOT CARE ABOUT the CUSTOMERS,, only money .. ,, You also believe cAN-Not has enough Mega Pixels ,, Again you are mistaken !!! 36 Mega Pixels JUST BLOWS AWAY THE half size little want to be cAN-Nots !!! SONY makes that GREAT 36 MEGA PIXEL SENSOR and SONY is soon to ROCK THE PHOTO WORLD !! THANK YOU SONY .. IT IS TIME FOR SONY !! I am already buying SONY ‘s best Glass! for the 54 MEGA PIXEL SONY COMING THIS SUMMER !! Fake Guy ,, we need a replacement FAKE GUY to keep both cAN-NOT and nI-KANTclass action law suits coming . I really think cAN-NOT paid you off to stop. If that is the case ,, you have been sold.. AND ,, So have I ,, to SONY !!! THANK YOU SONY !!!!!!!

    • You’re right, there’s still a lot to be done. Like fixing your goddamn keyboard, for fuck’s sake. But seriously, the world is fucked, and the reason why I’m closing this blog is to go focus on the ROOT PROBLEMS that also lie at the base of Canon and Nikon and other corporations screwing us over. We need to fix root problems to get out of this goddamn mess.

    I wasn’t enamored of most of the conspiracy theory shit, but let’s all be honest about one thing: Snowden has opened our eyes, and they needed to be opened. But when you drifted away from talking about photography, the blog lost its meaning.

    Good on you for moving on, and all the best of luck to you!

    • Thanks Tony, and it’s good to know you think that way about Snowden. Conspiracies do exist unfortunately, and some of them are the root problems of issues we’re having with Canon and other corporations. It’s better to focus on that in the future, so that’s why I’m moving on. I’ll leave you with the video below, 30 minutes, make sure you check it out. And good luck with that new job at KFC.

  10. looks like being a canon fan boy took a toll on you lol. canon, nikon don’t care about their fan boys or customers. they are there to squeez every penny they can off customers. i hope they pay you something cheer-leading for them.
    like someone who thinks so long as they abide by the law big govt is not a proble, canon was ok with me until i sent my camera for repairs and they simply refused to repair it. they told me the error it shows was because of a dropping error. that was a lie. they simply did not want to repair the camera and wanted to be paid for their labor. at first they told me it wasn’t gonna cost me anything but sent me an email for $344. $50 parts, the rest labor. of course i’m not gonna spend that much on a 4 year model camera so i told them to ship it back to me.
    based on the complaints from canon factory service center, jamesburg, nj i doubt they’ll even send my camera back. they were laughing at me at the background as i was trying to tell them it was simply an SD card slot failure (error “card write protected”). I sent the camera the same day the error occured. they don’t care.
    it’s too bad unlike ebay i cannot fight them when they send me back my camera. i doubt they’ll send me back my camera and if they do it will probably be messed up beyond repair.
    i repair most of my own electronics and had started to work on it but it was under warranty and felt since it was under warranty let them deal with it.
    i just pray they send me my camera repair ID number RN691914
    their scam is good. when a camera comes in for repair just say the camera was dropped and that’s the end of discussion since drops are not covered under warranty and force customer to pay money.

    when the camera worked i guess i was a little bit of a fan boy since i owned a canon.. but i knew at the back of my head my day was coming lol.

    i’ve been reading this blog a few years and it was entertaining seeing you troll nikon fan boys but i think it’s clear the 2 companies are either equal or nikon is slightly better than canon in most classes of cameras.

  12. I really hate you Fake Chuck. Now that we need you most you are not longer there now that Canon is not willing or able or could be able and is castrating willingly their cameras. Canon is a shame for the photography business. Why for gods sake is it so difficult to add a up-to-date sensor to their otherways good cameras. Shame over these Japanese engineers and marketing fuckers at Canon.
